Frequently Asked Questions

How does the system work?

Transmitters are placed on towers in our service area. Currently we have 7 towers. A subscriber module, (antenna/receiver) will be installed outside your house. An Ethernet cable will be run from the subscriber module into your house, connecting to your WiFi router.

What is the service area?

Our service area is all of CR 352, Spring Lake, White Sands Lake, Gator Bone Lake, Silver Sands Lake, Monogahela area, and some areas on 214 and 315C. Click HERE to see a map.

Do you provide the installation?

Yes. Set-up and standard Installation start at $199.00. In some cases because of the trees we have to use a telescopic pole and a longer cable run to get proper signal from the tower. In this case a site survey is required to determine the additional equipment needed along with associated cost. The installation price includes our equipment that must be returned if you discontinue your service.

Do I need a phone line?

No. We do not use phone lines for the Internet.

What computer equipment do I need?

Any PC or Mac that supports an Ethernet network connection.

What computer software do I need?

The only software that is required is an Internet browser, which is included with all operating systems.

Can I change the package I subscribe to later?

Yes. You can call or email us and we can upgrade or downgrade your package. We make this change from the office so a site visit is not required. Your next invoice will include a prorated billing.

Can I connect more than one computer?

Yes. You do this by using a wireless router. You can purchase a router from us and we will install it.  You may also purchase a router from a retailer. Only members in the same household may be connected to your router.

Can I connect to the Wi-Fi with devices other than computers?

Yes. Any device that can connect to Wi-Fi or Ethernet can be used. Examples of some of these devices are smart phones, tablet PC’s,*VoIP, readers (like a Kindle), gaming systems, etc.

*VoIP will work, but is not supported, because E911 states that the service must remain usable in an emergency. In the event of a storm damaging power lines, leaving the customer’s house without power, VoIP services will not work as it requires an active internet connection. If you do not have power to your home, you will not have Internet connection.
